Disneyland!

I’ll always be a child at heart – I truly can’t get enough of rides; things that spin, things that go fast, things in the dark, upside down things… I love them all. Hence why I was just as excited [if not more so] as my nieces and nephews for two whole days at Disneyland and California Adventure.

Now, this wasn’t my first time at the rodeo, I’d been once before in 2007, so as soon as those gates opened on the first day I knew exactly where I was headed. The best ride of course; Splash Mountain. And I had my nieces and nephews in tow.


They sacrificed me and put me in the front seat where you get the most drenched but I was smiles all the way!...


The following 48hours turned into a blur of log rides, rollercoasters, sweet snacks and fried chicken. We were so dedicated we even returned to the park each night to watch the fireworks, see the parades and go on more rides. Needless to say I was exhausted.

If you’re a thrill seeker then the Hollywood Tower is certainly not to be missed. It’s all your nightmares come true about being stuck in a broken lift.


For something more tame but seriously intricate then try the Cars ride. These guys have created an entire Grand Canyon just for this thing. The scale is incredible.



And of course not forgetting the classic; It's A Small World...


Disneyland truly does become something else entirely at night time. I think I like it even better. The castle lights up, the rides are more thrilling, there are performances and water shows and everything is just that little bit extra spectacular.




It truly is the happiest place on earth…


Still more to come, on the next leg of the USA adventure it was time for Vegas...

At just 8 years old I discovered that Walt Disney's castle was inspired by Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. 18 years later I found myself climbing the road to this magnificent, dream-like castle. My fairytale was right in front of me. Style It. Birds Of A Feather

Having grown up living on a lake, I guess you could say I'm very used to all manner of wildlife. A bit of a bird watcher if you will. As a child I fed the ducks and watched swans hatch eggs in my backyard with wonder; amazed at how a fluffy, squeaky little grey thing could transform into a great majestic bird. London's not short of wildlife either and when I took some crumbs to Hyde Park the other week, they all came a flocking. Literally. I could hear David Attenborough's iconic voice narrating the whole thing. We were blessed with some magical clear skies that day; shooting in the sunshine is always a treat. If you find yourself with some spare time this weekend, then get yourself down to the park. After all, now that spring's here, it's officially picnic season. The best time of year. Suitcase. Party In The USA - Vegas

Cha-ching. Vegas. It’s safe to say I was pretty excited for this final leg of the trip because I’d not been to Vegas before. We decided to road trip it from LA to Nevada where we saw some pretty incredible desert scenery along the way but nothing compared to when we drove up over a rise and first laid eyes on the mirage-like sparkling city that literally lies in the middle of nowhere. Incredible. We drove in down the strip, past the iconic Vegas sign and every other glittering one along the way. The Cosmopolitan was our home for the week and can I just say wow. Check out my room. How could I resist taking a mirror selfie?... This dress is my new fave, I love khaki for blondes. Unfortunately this style is sold out now but there's a few other styles in the same shade here  (so feminine!), here  (a total steal) and here  (for a hint of military!)
